Messaging on your Mac

Bumble on a computer: the web app is gone. Here's what's left

Can you use Bumble on a computer? Not since Bumble shut its web app in October 2025. What still works on a Mac or laptop, and what to avoid, as of October 2026.

The short answer

  • You can't use Bumble on a computer anymore: Bumble discontinued Bumble web in October 2025 and now shows a prompt to download the app instead.
  • As of October 2026, Bumble is a phone app; the App Store lists it for iPhone only (iOS 17 or later), with no Mac or iPad version.
  • On a Mac, the only official way to see Bumble is Apple's iPhone Mirroring, which controls the app on your own iPhone and isn't available in the EU.
  • Bumble's Community Guidelines ban unauthorized automations that interact with profiles or messages, so be wary of any tool that offers to connect to your Bumble account.

You can’t use Bumble on a computer anymore. Bumble discontinued its web app in October 2025, and signing in on the web now just shows a prompt to download the app (Bumble Support). As of October 2026, Bumble is a phone app, and the App Store lists it for iPhone only, with no Mac or iPad version.

Many older guides still describe signing in to Bumble at bumble.com, which no longer works. Here’s what changed, what still works on a Mac or laptop, and what to avoid.

What happened to Bumble web?

Bumble shut it down to focus on its phone app. Its support article “An update on Bumble web”, first published on 13 October 2025 and last edited in August 2026, says plainly that Bumble web “has been discontinued”, and that you’ll now see a prompt to download the Bumble app instead of signing in on the web (Bumble Support).

Bumble’s reasons, from the same article: the app has real-time push notifications, selfie verification, in-app voice and video calls, more accurate location matching, and tools like Travel Mode and Incognito Mode. Your matches carry over: Bumble says that if you sign in to the app with the same account you used on the web, your matches and conversations will be there.

Can you use Bumble on a Mac or iPad?

Not with a Bumble app. Bumble’s App Store listing says “Only for iPhone” and requires iOS 17 or later; it lists no iPad, Mac or Apple Vision version (App Store). That means a Mac with Apple silicon can’t install it from the Mac App Store either.

Here are the options that remain:

Option Official? What you can do Limits
Bumble app on your phone Yes Everything It’s on your phone
Apple iPhone Mirroring Yes, an Apple feature Use the Bumble app on your iPhone from your Mac, typing with your keyboard Not in the EU; no camera or microphone, so no video calls or selfie verification
Bumble web Was official Nothing: discontinued in October 2025 Gone
“Bumble for PC” downloads and emulators No Varies Unofficial; we don’t cover them

Using Bumble through iPhone Mirroring

Apple’s iPhone Mirroring shows your iPhone’s screen in a window on your Mac, so you can open Bumble and reply with your Mac’s keyboard. According to Apple, you need a Mac with Apple silicon (or the T2 chip) on macOS Sequoia 15 or later, an iPhone on iOS 18 or later with a passcode, the same Apple Account on both, and your iPhone locked and nearby. It’s currently unavailable in the European Union.

Because the iPhone’s camera and microphone don’t work through iPhone Mirroring, Bumble’s video calls, voice calls and selfie verification still have to happen on the phone itself. Your Mac does receive your iPhone’s notifications, so Bumble alerts can appear on your Mac screen.

What do Bumble’s rules say about third-party tools?

Bumble’s Community Guidelines have a section on platform manipulation: Bumble says it doesn’t allow “unauthorized automated behaviors that undermine or interfere with our platform”, including scraping, scripting and “automations that may interact with profiles or messages.” The guidelines don’t mention AI by name, but any app or extension that signs in to your Bumble account to read or send messages is the kind of automation that section describes.

So treat anything advertised as “Bumble on desktop” with suspicion, especially if it asks for your phone number or login code. Our guide to what Tinder, Hinge and Bumble’s terms say about AI and third-party tools covers all three apps side by side.

Is Bumble coming to Tera Chat?

Not yet. Tera Chat is our Mac app: it brings iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Tinder into one inbox, with Hinge in a read-only beta. Bumble is listed as coming soon, with no date, and we won’t guess one here. If it arrives, Bumble’s guidelines on automation would apply to it, just as Tinder’s and Hinge’s terms apply to Tera Chat today.

What does work today: if a Bumble conversation moves to WhatsApp, iMessage or Instagram, that chat can sit in one list on your Mac (here’s how to combine WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram and Instagram in one Mac app). Before you move a conversation off Bumble, make sure you’re happy to share that account or number, and be wary of anyone who pushes to move quickly or asks for money. Our guide to moving from a dating app to Instagram or WhatsApp has a safety checklist.

How does Bumble compare with Tinder and Hinge on a computer?

Bumble and Hinge are both phone-only now; Tinder is the one that still runs in a browser, at tinder.com. Our Hinge on a computer guide explains why you should avoid sites claiming to offer a Hinge web version. The short version

Bumble web is gone, and Bumble is an iPhone and Android app as of October 2026. If you want Bumble on your Mac screen, iPhone Mirroring is the only official route (outside the EU). Don’t install “Bumble for PC” downloads or give your login to tools that promise a desktop version.
