Can you use Hinge on a computer or Mac? (2026)

No, not officially. As of October 2026, Hinge has no web version, no Mac app and no iPad app: it’s a phone app for iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and Android (10 or later). The closest official way to use Hinge from a Mac is Apple’s iPhone Mirroring, which shows your own iPhone’s Hinge app in a window on your Mac. And don’t sign in at “app.hinge.co”: some guides describe it as an unofficial web version, but when we checked it on 20 October 2026 it redirected to an unrelated request-capture site.

Here’s what we checked, what your options really are on a Mac, and what Tera Chat’s Hinge beta can and can’t do.

Is there a Hinge web version?

No. Hinge’s website has no log-in link or browser version, only information about the company and a link to download the app (hinge.co). Hinge’s help center talks only about phones: it says Apple devices “now require iOS 17 to receive updates from the Hinge app” and Android devices need version 10 or above (Hinge Help Center, updated 1 October 2026). We found no help article about using Hinge on a computer.

That puts Hinge in a different position from Tinder, which runs in a browser at tinder.com. If you’ve been searching for a “Hinge desktop login”, there isn’t one to find.

What’s wrong with app.hinge.co?

At least one guide that ranks for “Hinge on computer” recommends app.hinge.co as an unofficial web version of Hinge. When we requested that address on 20 October 2026, it returned a redirect to webhook.site, a service developers use to capture and inspect web requests. It did not show a Hinge login page.

We don’t know who controls that redirect or why it’s there, and it may change. Either way, the safe rule is simple: only sign in to Hinge in the Hinge app from the App Store or Google Play. Never type your phone number, a verification code or your email into a “Hinge web” page you reached from a search result.

Is there a Hinge app for iPad or Mac?

No. Hinge’s App Store listing says “Only for iPhone”, and its compatibility section lists iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and Apple Vision, with no iPad or Mac (App Store). So even on a Mac with Apple silicon, which can run some iPhone apps, Hinge isn’t offered in the Mac App Store.

What are your real options for Hinge on a Mac?

Besides the phone app itself, there are two, and neither replaces it. Here’s how they compare:

We don’t cover Android emulators or third-party screen-mirroring apps. They’re unofficial, and iPhone Mirroring does the same job without installing anything from a third party.

How to use Hinge with iPhone Mirroring

iPhone Mirroring is built into macOS and iOS. It shows your iPhone’s screen in a window on your Mac, and you click, scroll and type as if you were holding the phone. According to Apple, you need:

• A Mac with Apple silicon (or an Intel Mac with the T2 chip) running macOS Sequoia 15 or later.
• An iPhone running iOS 18 or later, with a passcode set.
• The same Apple Account on both, with two-factor authentication.
• Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, and your iPhone locked and near your Mac.

Then open the iPhone Mirroring app on your Mac and open Hinge in the window. Your Mac also receives your iPhone’s notifications, so Hinge alerts can appear on the Mac even when you’re not mirroring.

What it can’t do: Apple says iPhone Mirroring is currently unavailable in the European Union, and the iPhone’s camera and microphone don’t work through it, so anything that needs the camera (like a selfie check) or a voice note has to happen on the phone itself.

What does Tera Chat’s Hinge beta do?

Tera Chat is our Mac app, so here is exactly what it does with Hinge, including the parts that may put you off.

Tera Chat is a free Mac app that brings iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Tinder into one inbox and drafts replies in your own texting style. Hinge is in beta and read-only: you can see your Hinge conversations in the same list as your other chats (how that kind of inbox works is explained in how to combine WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram and Instagram in one Mac app), but you can’t send Hinge messages from Tera Chat, so you still reply in the Hinge app. Connecting Hinge needs a one-time setup. Tera Chat needs a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 15 or later.

The terms risk, plainly. Hinge’s Terms of Service (effective 25 August 2025) ban using or developing third-party apps or services that directly interact with Hinge or its members’ content without written consent, “including but not limited to artificial intelligence or machine learning systems” (section 2c, item 22). Section 4 says Hinge may also ban rule-breakers from its affiliates’ services, such as Tinder, OkCupid and Match (Hinge Terms). Tera Chat connects to your Hinge account, so it is the kind of third-party tool those terms cover, and using it carries a risk to your account. Write your own messages. Hinge goes further than Tinder on content: its Prohibited Content list (section 2d, item 11) bans content that “was not written by you or was automatically generated, unless expressly authorized by Hinge.” Whatever helps you think of a reply, whether that’s a friend, a chatbot or a draft, type the final message yourself, in your own words. Hinge’s own AI features take the same approach: Hinge says its Convo Starters “do not provide pre-written language for daters to copy and paste” (Hinge).

How does Hinge compare with other dating apps on a computer?

Hinge and Bumble are both phone-only now: neither has a web version or an iPad app, and Bumble shut its old web app in October 2025.
